Hi I’m Nyah, I’d like to run for Vice-President of the Teddy Bear Hospital. I have really enjoyed the visits I have been on this year with TBH and love seeing how our efforts help to make children more inquisitive about their own health and feel more comfortable asking questions around medical topics. I’d really appreciate the opportunity to be able to contribute more to the TBH and continue its efforts.
I have an interest in working with children and have had experience interacting with children of all ages. From reading with years 3s with dyslexia, tutoring years 10-12 and helping to coach younger pupils in waterpolo, I believe I have acquired a secure base of skill and knowledge to communicate with and engage children of a variety of ages. I am well-organised and have has lots of experience coordinating events and communicating details with a team of prefects, during my time as head girl. As a result I know how to manage my time well, and understand the importance of effective communication about events in ample time, which is something I’d aim to carry forward into my role in the TBH.
I would love the opportunity to work in a team, meet new people and collaborate to ensure the smooth-running of the society, so it can continue to make a meaningful impact in the community.
