Dear LUBS members,

My name is Nik, a second-year Economics and Finance student here at the University of Leeds, and I am running to be your LUBS Treasurer for the 2025/2026 academic year. My plans for the upcoming year include:

Allocating funds for events aimed at building connections between members and the committee while addressing members’ interests.

Investing in exclusive events and sponsorship opportunities that offer members top industry exposure in finance, consulting, technology and beyond.

Developing a cash-flow model, termly report, and yearly budget to track revenues, monitor expenditures, and ensure all sub-sections stay within budget.

Collaborating with the executive committee to ensure effective financial planning and the smooth execution of major events (e.g., the ball!).

By working with the committee, I aim to not only improve existing initiatives but also introduce new ones from day one. I will prioritise hearing members' voices, understanding their career goals, and turning their ideas into action. My goal is to establish LUBS as the leading society for students in terms of providing equal growth opportunities, both socially and professionally. I’d love your vote to help set new standards!
