Hi!! My name’s Daisy Yarham and I am running for the position of Social Secretary for LUBS society. As a passionate member of our business school community, I endeavour to positively contribute upon election with even more vibrant, inclusive and engaging social events and energy. I understand the importance of creating a society where everyone feels welcomed and connected, in particular – Freshers first joining uni. As Social Secretary I would aim to cater to diverse groups and demographics of the whole business school fostering both fun and meaningful interactions for students.
I am a highly organised and outgoing individual who is approachable and creative, skills I deem essential for this role. I aim to enhance our social calendar by creating both casual get-togethers and large mixer events aiming to immerse society members into their new second home- Leeds. Additionally, I aim to collaborate with other committee members and societies to build strong relationships for our members. Having high engagement and positivity levels is essential throughout Uni and as Social Secretary I believe I would be perfect for creating a necessary work hard, play hard balance for our students, which is proven to reduce stress levels.
Being social secretary is more than just organising nights out- it’s about encouraging networking and making strong connections and I am fully committed and confident in myself that through my passion for this society and its goals that I would make the ideal candidate for this role.

Hi, My Name is Pippa Bell, I am currently in First Year Studying Business Management applying for the role of LUBS Social Secretary for the year commencing 2025/26. I am a positive cheery individual with a strong sense of commitment therefore I am a suitahle candidate for this role as I will dedicate myself to ensuring lubs socials are fun,welcoming and successful. I am a very creative person with many ideas of socialsfor LUBS to be involved with, including some to do with my passions running and fashion. Some of my ideas for events include charity runs,sober socials including games night,otley run and paddys day themed social and many more.
