I would love to apply for the role of Netball Captain for the IHP netball team next year. Over the past year, playing for the team has been one of the highlights of my time at university. I’ve made some great friendships within the society, and I’m really keen to help create that same welcoming and enjoyable environment for new freshers joining in September.
I believe I would be a strong captain as I am both a confident leader and a good listener. I value making sure everyone feels included, supported, and heard, in order to create a positive and successful team dynamic.
Having played netball competitively for most of my life, I hope to bring experience, commitment, and a strong understanding of the game. However, I also recognise that for many people, netball is also about having fun, staying active, and being part of a community. As captain, I would aim to strike a balance between performing well in the league and ensuring that everyone enjoys being part of the team.
Overall, I would love the opportunity to lead a team that is supportive, inclusive, and competitive, while continuing to build a strong sense of community within the society.
