Hi, I’m Sophie, I’m in my first year studying Business Management with Marketing and I’m running for the role of Design and Merchandising Secretary for 2024/2025!

I’m applying for this role because I think it’s important to maintain LUBS society’s image across social platforms in order to market events well and attract new members. LUBS events have been a great way for me to meet people this year, so I want to make sure new members are aware of upcoming events through eye-catching posts!

As a creative person who loves posting on social media, I believe I’d be able to capture people’s attention with fun content. I also have experience in programming a website so I’d enjoy working on the LUBS website and keeping it updated.

I’m a friendly person so would work well on the committee, both with other committee members and other society members. I’m organised and manage my time well, so would make sure posts are ready in time to showcase other committee members’ hard work in planning events!

Joining this committee would be a great step towards a career in marketing by utilising my design skills, and I’d be sure to work hard in the role to maintain LUBS society’s reputation! Thank you for reading :)
