I am Srinandni Verma, a first-year undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor’s in Economics and Mathematics. I am thrilled to put myself for the position of Careers and Sponsorship Secretary within the Leeds University Business School Society. This role isn’t just about titles, it’s about making a real impact on the lives and futures of our fellow members.

I get it, navigating the whole career thing can be tough. That’s why I’m committed to organising immersive visits to prominent companies, providing career development support like CV reviews, and cover letter tips, and ensuring that our society has the financial backing it needs to thrive.

Let’s not forget about the amazing opportunities we’ll create together. From exclusive talks and panel discussions with industry leaders to dynamic Case Competitions that challenge us to think outside the box, we’re going to push boundaries and unlock our full potential.

Hey everyone, my name is Ryan and I am currently in my first year studying Economics. Due to my connections with industries and robust passion for networking, I have made the decision to run for next year's LUBS Career and Sponsorship secretary!

Trust me, I know how hard it is to gain valuable experience and internships, with Leeds facing immense competition from other Russel Group uni’s. With those already in apprenticeships and some who may have climbed on the corporate ladder earlier, it can be daunting when considering your opportunities after graduating. But no need to panic as I plan to develop stronger roots with Top Finance firms and plan to get more of them on campus (which will not only be in the form of Death by PowerPoint!!!). Whether it be accounting, IB, consulting or even marketing, I am fully committed to assisting Leeds students with realising their potential and getting themselves out there to future employees. As a Zero Gravity Scholar and a previous Young Professionals Brand Ambassador, I represent those from low socioeconomic backgrounds who are aiming for prestigious careers. It’s all about breaking down barriers and students realising that they will soon become the majority, not the minority.

It's the 21st Century and we all know the importance of internships, spring weeks, insight days or even something as simple as an insight evening. Therefore, it is imperative that we also develop long-standing sponsorships with career networks or firms to benefit everyone’s CV. I can guarantee that through voting for me you will have at least 1 stand-out opportunity that you will be able to add to your CV or Cover Letter by the end of the year.
