hey everyone! i’m Taylor and i’ll be running for vice president on next year’s committee :) i’m currently a first year biomedical sciences student and you’ll find me headbangin and girliepop dancing in room 2 on a friday at keys. some of my favourite bands are BMTH, knocked loose, lorna shore, sleep token, malevolence and killswitch engage just to name a few.

I joined rocksoc this year and have loved meeting so many new people and making such lovely friends! coming to my first rocksoc social felt so daunting, but I felt so welcome by everyone and it was the best thing I could’ve done because everyone here is genuinely so lovely. As vice president, I hope to be central in making the next set of freshers feel as welcome as I did into this society by being friendly and approachable, as well as being there for anyone that needs it.

I’m also course rep for biomedical sciences so have lots of experience with making sure my cohort feels valued, respected and heard which is exactly what I believe I can bring to being vice president. As well as this, I believe I’d be able to really hone in on my teamwork, communication and organisational skills I’ve built up from my many years in employment alongside studies. I would love to be able to assist the president in making important decisions and innovating new and fun ideas for the society! I'm also a creative gal so I will be able to help with any graphic designs or posters for our socials :)

This years committee was so amazing and have left incredibly difficult shoes to fill, but I believe I can bring a friendly, light-hearted fun to the role of vice president whilst also being organised and on top of the game with all things rocksoc.
