I am a first year banking and finance student from Paraguay and I would like to become treasurer in order to help manage the budget in the most effective way to deliver enjoyable quality events for all that can be enjoyed at an affordable price.

A passion of mine is asado (barbecue) which in my country of Paraguay aswell as across South America is a very important tradition. These gatherings are a great time to get together with friends, meet new people and enjoy the finest meats cooked slowly on the grill.

If I am elected as treasurer I will make it a priority to focus on how the budget could effectively be used to promote more communal food events such as Asados for members of the society to get together and enjoy a high quality barbecue with a strong community feel at an affordable price.

I have experience with budgeting and keeping financial records from work experience I have done as well as modules on my degree course.

I will also be open to ideas from the community as to how best the society can use its funds to organise fun events for all latin americans and non latin americans alike who wish to join us.
