The roles and responsibilities of the President include:

• organising and overseeing the running of the society
• chairing Committee Meetings, AGMs and EGMs
• ensuring the production of an annual report
• ensuring there is an up to date entry in the Society’s LUU webpage
• ensuring that the Code of conduct, risk assessments, etc are communicated to members when requested
• ensuring that LUU Safeguarding Policy is upheld and/or clearly delegate this responsibility
• ensuring the production and distribution of an agenda for Committee Meetings, AGMs and EGMs
• ensuring the continued running of the society where committee members cannot fulfil their roles once elected for their committee term
• supporting the Secretary in ensuring the email account is checked regularly and emails are replied to where necessary
• liaising with LUU about matters arising from the society, this may include queries and complaints
• being the trip leader on trips/delegating this responsibility where necessary to another committee member
• ensuring LUU trip forms are completed by the trip leader in conjunction with the Secretary
• supporting the Secretary where required with filling in and submitting SSAGO, LUU and other relevant forms (including SSAGO Nights Away Notification Forms and Adventurous Activity Notification Forms) 
• ensuring that a scrapbook/yearbook of LUUSAG socials and events is created by the end of the academic year. 
• taking possession and responsibility for one chapel access key.
