Vice-President

The President’s back-up and all round support, be ready day or night to help out the President with whatever is needed. When the President is away the VP becomes President, so read the above as well.

The VP is responsible for all records throughout the year, minutes from meetings, Union paperwork and sponsor contracts.

As well as this the VP is responsible for e-mailing the members of the club every week (if uni ever sort out the emailing system) to keep everyone informed of what the club is up to. In addition, it is the VP’s job to collate and write the daily newsletter on the trip.

Over the summer, it is the VP’s responsibility to secure a large and varied group of sponsors for the club in the coming year.

One of the Secretary’s most important jobs is the securing of Snowsport England funding for the beginner lessons at the start of the year, every year we manage to secure more of this funding and this is the best way to get new people into snowsports.

This position is excellent for development of business liaison skills, professional writing practice and sharing the stoke from all the goodies you manage to wrangle out of sponsors! Seeing the beginners group develop aided by funding you secure is also extremely rewarding.
