Holiday Organiser

The role of the Holiday Organiser is to be the go between the holiday company and the committee. They need to be on good terms with the holiday company and understand the booking process for the trips. They should have a good grasp of facts and figures about the trips from the start as this is something that people ask about all year round. It is also essential that around trip times they are constantly manning the Facebook and Instagram profile to answer any questions (there will be a lot!).

In the summer you will accompany the President and Vice-President to the sales meetings with holiday companies and decide amongst the three of you who you would like to sign with.

In resort they should be prepared to liaise directly with restaurant, bar and club owners to ensure the smooth functioning of the trip. Good personal relationships with these people really help to make trips an even more special experience for everyone involved. 

Holidays also include trips, so BUDS and AfterJam will need to be organised by you as well. The workload for this position is sporadic but intense, make sure all your deadlines are out of the way before the end of term as you will be constantly answering questions from about 3 weeks prior to departure for both trips.

Nailing the holidays of 1,000 students is an unrivalled feeling and positive feedback and good times shared are weighty rewards for this position.
