Treasurer

The Treasurer is responsible for keeping the club afloat. With an annual turnover of about £75,000, this is a job for someone who is good with numbers and good at haggling.

It’s the Treasurer’s responsibility to liaise with the other committee members and allocate them money for anything they need, but be prepared to say no. Also be prepared to say no to the President; the President will keep an eye on the club funds throughout the year, but it is the Treasurer who will be most up to speed with the financial situation and have a record of ALL the clubs expenditure.

Regular and accurate budgets are key for a successful financial year. You are also responsible for overseeing expenses and keeping track of incomings and outgoings.

Having financial management skills at this level is a serious asset when leaving University, and everyone loves the person making it rain!
