I’m Max! I’m on placement, but in September I’ll be coming back to Leeds for my final year of uni. I’ve been into climbing for the last few years, but finally learned to lead trad after joining the club in year 2. Since then I have been getting out as much as I can, climbing on lots of rock, ice, and snow. As VP I will be ensuring that the ceilidh, ball and merch is booked in advance over the summer holiday. I will also be looking at improving the merch buying process, ensuring that anyone who commits to buying anything can follow through. As well this I will be in contact with Depot, ensuring that anyone teaching is suitable and safe, whilst keeping track of members belay skill level, and teaching attendance.

Hi everyone, I’m Jess and I’d love to be the new Vice President!

I’d be a great fit for this role as I am a really organised person who loves a to-do list. I would also consider myself a very bubbly and friendly person which means I would be a supportive and approachable member of the committee.

I am reliable and responsible so will be able to organise the weekly teaching sessions and merch. I’m also eager to organiser bigger events especially the Christmas Ceilidh as I know what an unforgettable night it is!

Since joining the society in September, I have felt really welcomed and have thoroughly enjoyed myself. I want to be a part of a friendly committee enthusiastic about making this society the best it can be.

You’ll find me bouldering most weekends and top roping with friends. I’m very grateful for the joy climbing has given to me and would love to share this with new and returning members!
