Hi, My name is Danny

Last year I had the amazing opportunity to be part of the Leeds Uni climbing comp team, which allowed me to compete in both bouldering and lead events across the country. Despite never competing before uni, I quickly learned why comp climbing is so appealing to many. Climbing all of a sudden feels alot more exhilarating, when you are under pressure!

The previous comp secs Jack and Maya have done an amazing job making competing such a fun and exciting experience. I’ve learnt so much from their weekly training sessions and have made some very good friends along the way.

I would like to go for comp sec this year because I feel like Leeds has a growing number of very strong climbers who deserve to show off their talent during competitions and I would love to be responsible for making that happen.

As your comp sec i’d do my best to help you improve as a climber through organising training sessions that are constructive but also fun, whilst also tackling the admin involved with bucs, nubs and nulscc.
