Hey guys, if you don't know me already, I'm Jacob.

Since joining LUUMC in autumn, I have grown to appreciate and embrace the community that we provide overall. I have enjoyed bouldering every Sunday at The Lab. Everyone in LUUMC that I have spoken to has been lovely and incredible to talk to. I want to reciprocate the kindness that everyone has given to me by handling admin work that many may see as boring. However, I really enjoy doing administrative work, and I want to ensure that we can get all the legal documents out of the way so we can focus on climbing and having fun.

Although I am not the most seasoned climber, over the years I have gained the skills necessary for the role of Secretary. I'm incredibly sociable and have an impeccable understanding of technology. I am a very fast learner when it comes to a massive responsibility like this, so I can quickly get into the role from day one. I'm great at keeping paperwork and official documents organised, as I use systems like this in my day-to-day life.

If elected, I will provide incredible organisational skills and ensure that new and old members are registered with the BMC as swiftly as possible. I will effectively liaise with the LUU to allow for clear communication between the committee and the union. I will ensure that emails are read on the day they are sent and will respond as soon as possible if needed. I will efficiently work with Trip Secretaries to ensure that trip accommodation is secured and booked so that we obviously have a place to stay on trips.Although this is what the role mainly entails, if elected I would go above and beyond the boundaries of my role. I will be as involved with the committee as possible and work with members of the committee if they are struggling, helping to maintain a strong and united team.

Everyone in LUUMC is awesome and inspirational, and I want to be able to contribute more than the average member. I want to help continue this welcoming community of lovely people and allow others to experience the amazing kindness that I have received from everyone this past year.

Hi everyone, I’m Finlay, and I’m running to be your LUUMC Secretary for the 26/27 season! Having climbed with the society for three incredible years, I’ve gotten so much out of this club, and I’m ready to give back by managing the crucial admin that keeps us moving.

I bring the exact kind of methodical, efficient organization needed to handle the paperwork so the rest of you can focus on the fun stuff. If elected, I will act as a reliable bridge between the club, LUU, and the BMC. I'll keep the official inbox highly responsive, work closely with the Trip Secs to lock in our hut bookings early, take detailed minutes, and ensure that 100% of our members are properly BMC insured so we can climb safely and legally.

I'm really keen to be a part of this committee and I know I can bring a lot to the role so I'd very much appreciate your vote for me as Secretary!
