Overview of role and responsibilities;

1. Will be responsible for organising social events and ensuring the smooth running of said events through prior organisation and planning.

2. Will ensure the LUU and Society’s Code of Conduct, Code of Good Practice and Social Guidelines are upheld, and an infringement is dealt with in the appropriate manner.

3. Will ensure a sober member of the society is in a position of responsibility at all social events involving alcohol consumption (not necessarily the social secretary).

4. Responsible for organising large scale events (e.g: formal dinners, trips, hockey camps, tour) and ensuring the smooth running of said events through thorough organisation and planning.

5. Social secretary is responsible for organising charity and fundraising events for the club to participate in and/or host.

6. Will organise the GIAG session as well as events associated with “Welcome Week”.
