Hi everyone! My name is Lila, I am from Greece and would love to run as your pre-clinical representative. During my first 3 years of medicine, I have developed a passion for research and pathology and I would be grateful if I had the opportunity to share it with everyone! I am very committed and responsible as a person and promise to contribute as much as possible to the functioning of the society, so you can count on me. Outside of medicine, I have set a goal to engage as much as possible with research and have applied to mentorship programs, so hopefully I can soon bring that experience into the context of PERKS. Hello everyone! I'm Fariha, a second-year medical student. I am excited to apply for this role as I really enjoy pathology and look forward to sharing my enthusiasm with my peers.

I also have a passion for research and hope to pursue an academic pathway. After first being exposed to the world of research through an EPQ project, I have been proactively searching for opportunities by being part of mentorship schemes, attending conferences and undertaking online courses. Doing so has given me opportunities to collaborate with excellent researchers from different universities and even disciples! This active participation has reinforced my love for lifelong learning through research.

I have served as the Vice President of the University's Undergraduate Anaesthetics Society. My role involved delivering committee meetings, liaising with doctors and ensuring my team had adequate support for their tasks. As a former member of an online medical society (Daily Dose of Medicine), I have experience in obtaining and considering feedback through online forms to improve our events.

I have attended all of the events hosted by PERKS including the incredible opportunity to observe a post mortem, I really value and appreciate what this society brings and hope to contribute to its growth and success. Thank you for taking the time to vote and considering my application :)

Hello, my name is Kertu.

I am a first-year medical student and I would love to be the Pre-Clinical Rep for PERKS.

Why? Well, I will keep it short and list some reasons (I do love lists):

• I am very interested in pathology. For Christmas I received new slides for my microscope.
• My love for pathology would help me promote PERKS because I would never run out of reasons why it is the best society out there.
• I am curious and eager to learn. I like to ask ‘Why?’ and ‘How?’ a lot.
• I also like to find answers to the questions others might shrug off.
• Being a mature student (and a mother), I believe I have some experience
and eye for noticing when a diverse approach is required.
• I am responsible and honest. I believe that being transparent is very
important in communication.
• I would love to gain more experience and contribute what I can to PERKS.
