I decided to nominate myself for this role as I really enjoyed being part of Nutritank last year as the President. I really liked educating kids about healthier eating without fueling stigma around food. In the era of rising preventable diseases, I felt this was a rewarding opportunity to connect with the community. As PALS1 co-lead, I have had the opportunity to organise fortnightly to weekly interactive revision sessions for year 1 students. This involved organising and publicising events, recruiting volunteers, gathering feedback to improve sessions as well as liaising with the Medical School Assessment team to organise a full year 1 Mock Written Assessment. As part of nutritank, I aim to raise awareness around the importance of nutrition and lifestyle medicine across all stages of healthcare from prevention to wellbeing. I am friendly and approachable and want to be a committee member that everyone feel comfortable speaking to. I would love to be Nutritank secretary. Thank you for reading!
