Hey, I’m Victoria, an MSc Sustainability and Consultancy student and I’d love to be your LSSC secretary! I want to get involved in LSSC as I’m already loving my new course and quite honestly, I want to learn more (cringe I know) and would love to help give others across the university the chance to build real experience in the sustainability consultant sector. With my previous experience of studying law and having worked in a customer service role for the last 5 years, I feel I understand the importance of maintaining good client relations and have excellent organisational skills therefore would be the perfect person to serve as the bridge between our society and clients. And if there is one thing that law has taught me – it’s the importance of a good, standardised doc. :) I also really love meeting and being inspired by new people, and being part of the committee at LSCC, I feel I could help continue building this community of like-minded people!

I am excited to apply for the position of Secretary at the Leeds Student Sustainability Consultancy. I am deeply passionate about sustainability and believe that my skills, experiences, and commitment to this cause make me a strong candidate for this role.

In my previous experiences, I have developed strong organizational and administrative skills that are crucial for the position of Secretary. Whether managing schedules, coordinating meetings, or maintaining records, I understand the importance of efficiency and attention to detail. My proficiency in communication tools will enable me to streamline processes and keep the team well-organized.

I am particularly drawn to this role because I am a Year 2 student of MEnv Sustainability and Environmental Management and also because of my unwavering commitment to sustainability. I have actively engaged in sustainability initiatives on and off campus, such as volunteering at the Green Action Food Co-op at the union and interning at an NGO working on waste management in India. These experiences have not only deepened my understanding of sustainability issues but also honed my ability to work effectively within a team. I am eager to bring this knowledge and enthusiasm to the Leeds Student Sustainability Consultancy.

As Secretary, I am dedicated to supporting the Consultancy's mission by maintaining clear and open communication, assisting in project coordination, and ensuring that our sustainability initiatives are well-documented and accessible to all team members. My goal is to contribute to the success of our projects and the growth of the Consultancy as a whole.

I am confident that my strong organizational skills, passion for sustainability, and dedication to contributing meaningfully to the Consultancy make me an ideal candidate for the Secretary position. I am excited about the opportunity to be part of this dynamic team and to contribute to a more sustainable future.
