I am running for the position of training officer for the sole reason of forcing Katie to run laps around the hall. I believe this is vital for the club's progression and will actually get Katie to do something at training.

More seriously, my main aim as training officer is to find a coach for the beginner fencers. This is extremely important when effectively bridging the gap between steam and electric fencing as well as getting new fencers into team positions.

Additionally, I will run an effective warm-up to get fencers ready for training and run footwork drills to improve fencing applicable skills.

Every time I do warm-up, I feel exhausted and painful. So, if I am elected, it will give me the motivation during the summer to be more active on exercising so that I can meet the standard of a training officer. I will definitely watch tons of YouTube videos on how to deliver a professional warm up session to educate myself more. I will beg my women captain and future president to teach the novices so that they won't be misled by me.
Anyways, I am good at communicating with different people through emails and maybe in person, so arranging for training schedule and assisting other committee members won't be a problem for me.
