Hey people!
I’m applying for secretary because I would love to join the committee and I think secretary is a great role! I am always well organised and always reachable to answer questions and communicate with who ever necessary. I love emails so that would be no problem. I will make sure we stay active on all social medias to have as big a presence as possible.

I will be a final year student hoping to serve the club as secretary.

My aims are to provide swift and effective communication between the club and members, public and the union.

I plan to work closely with other members of committee to build posts in which the club social media can be more active
One of these plans is to work with the team captains to produce match reports for each of the BUCS matches
While the other is to produce armory posts from which club members can refer to for maintainance and repair of their equipment

I am active online far too much, which means I am a good pick for this role as it allows me to reply quickly to any queries to the club.

Hi Committee!!
If I were Secretary, I would post match reports on Instagram like they do at Warwick because I think that is pretty neat. It would also be a way to incorporate a social media platform made after 2004 into the society. Did you know Facebook is older than me (o-o) !!!!! If we start posting more on Instagram we might start reaching some young people. This would be good because people who have never fenced before might be like ‘wow I really want to start fencing now’. And then we will have new beginners. I just think it’d be fun if we had a more active Instagram.
I’ll be second year student next year so I’ll have enough time to commit to answering/sending emails, posting things on Instagram etc. I am also patient enough to deal with the Union.
