Hi, I’m Lucy one of the current second year medical students and I would love to be your charity coordinator for next year!
Having attended the paediatric conference this year I knew I wanted to apply for a position on committee and become more involved with the society. My interest in paediatrics started in year 8 where I began volunteering as a young leader at Cubs and continued to do so for 5 years. During this time, not only did I gain experience working with children, but I also learned how to organise events and communicate these to children and their guardians.
As well as this, in the recent Easter holiday I ran a half marathon after raising money for the charity Mencap. This is a charity I had previously volunteered for and therefore could see how beneficial their work is to people living with learning disabilities as well as those in their support network.
As charity rep, I would particularly be excited to work alongside Bedside Buddies, as well as promoting events in SANDS week to help raise awareness. I would look forward to collaborating with the rest of committee and will hopefully get more medical students to engage with charity and volunteer work.

Hi, I’m Yusra and I am currently a second year student.

I would love the opportunity to become Charity Coordinator, as I am very passionate about fundraising and supporting charitable initiatives. I have previously been involved in organising and running numerous fundraisers and charity events, including raising money for humanitarian charities and organisations such as NSPCC. Through these experiences, I have developed skills in teamwork, organisation, communication and event coordination.

I am an organised and proactive individual and I would love the opportunity to work with other committee members to deliver successful fundraising events and charity initiatives throughout the year.

Hi I’m Aleena and I would love to run for Charity Rep for the Leeds Paediatric Society.

My passion for Paediatrics has always been about making a meaningful impact for children and families. In this role, I’d aim to create fun and engaging opportunities for people to get involved . I enjoy organising events, working with others, and bringing people together for a good cause, and I’d love the opportunity to do that within the LUMPS society. Thanks for considering me !
