Hi everybody! I am running for the position of President, Leeds RAG. I believe that my role as the Events Coordinator for the year 2022-23 has given me a significant insight into the functioning of the society, its foundation and its goals. I can carry forward the legacy of the society without compromising on its founding values. In my capacity as the Events Coordinator, along with my partner, I delivered the successful event of First Dates, which was very well received and I remember people enquiring about such an event being organized again. All the proceeds from this event went to charity. If elected President, I pledge to put forth such sustainable, diverse and student friendly events that that would allow our student community to have fun, while contributing to a greater cause. In the past, I volunteered with Humana People to People India, an organization that aims to enroll underprivileged, out of school children into mainstream education. My experience from working with those children, helped me understand why giving back to the community is important in whatever way possible. With such enriching experiences that never cease to inspire me, I will guide the society to its true potential. I have learnt a lot from Leeds RAG and I believe these learnings would help me take the society a step further. Please vote for me!

Hi, I’m Sneha, and I’m a first-year BSc Economics and Finance student. I’m excited to be running for the position of President for the 2023/24 Committee. My previous experience organizing self-led donation drives has provided me with valuable skills and a compassionate approach that I believe make me an excellent candidate for this role. As the incoming treasurer for the Homed society, i’m confident that I can help facilitate better collaboration with our partner charities. I’ve also worked closely with a women’s NGO here in Leeds. If elected, I’ll be responsible for chairing committee meetings, AGMs, and EGMs, ensuring that an annual report is produced, and keeping our society’s LUU Engage page up to date. I’ll also be managing RAG’s social media pages. If I’m chosen as President, I’ll work hard to build strong relationships with our partner charities and organize successful fundraising events. I’m passionate about making a positive impact in our community, and I’m confident that my communication skills and dedication will allow me to serve effectively in this position.
