I would love to work as president for LUU Squash. Having been social sec for the last year, I have learnt first-hand how a committee works and feel that I can use my knowledge going into next year. One of my key strengths is teamwork, ensuring that the committee will work to its full potential attracting new people to be part of LUU Squash. I believe that we can keep growing the society in the next year, offering people who are new to the society many opportunities such as increasing give it a go session that may be held in weekend rec. I feel that the last year squash has been a huge highlight for me, I have made so many new friends which makes training and socials much more enjoyable. Going from my first year being afraid to interact within the society to working as social sec, more engagements with people gave me more confidence. I want to bring that enjoyment to those who are nervous to join or are just joining the society. I am confident that the committee next year will be just as amazing as this year, listening to people within the society and trying our best to create more fun mini events, for example leagues or more mini tournaments. LUU Squash means a lot to me as a student, and it is in my best interest to grow the society into something great where people can have fun.
