Hey! My name is Dyuksha Rai and I am a second year Communications and Media student running for the role of Events rep. I would love the opportunity to organise exciting and memorable socials/ launches for you by exercising my creativity and passion to make Lippy thrive this academic year. I am going into my second year studying English literature and would like to be an events secretary for Lippy Magazine as it is a great opportunity to connect creative and talented individuals across a social setting. I understand that it can be daunting to express opinions and creativity across a platform that is initially unfamiliar, for this reason I would love to create a safe and welcoming environment for people to connect over a shared desire to write, create and express individuality so everyone can discuss what matters to them. I have many ideas for hosting events that centre around Lippy such as open mic-nights and quiz nights as well as events that are more casual so people can catch up and unwind within busy weeks at uni.
