Where am I now?:
I am currently on a placement year with Born in Bradford. I work on their Age of Wonder project, which is a study that investigates health inequalities in teenagers. I go into schools across Bradford to collect data and work closely with students and teachers. I spend time liaising with professionals in the company, and assisting their research.

My skills and experience:
- Organisation and time management skills from juggling a busy schedule this year in a fast-paced work environment.
- Presenting skills from frequently presenting to groups of 200+ students in schools.
- Social media and Canva skills from running the company’s Instagram and TikTok.

Why this role?:
There are so many different career options that come from a Psychology degree. It’s so important to help students access as much information as they can, so they can make informed decisions about their next steps. I would be passionate in finding great speakers and spreading awareness of options after uni. I would love the opportunity to do this!

Hi! My name is Maddie and I'm applying for the position of Careers Sec. I will be going into 3rd year following on from my current psychology placement, and so am passionate about all students finding a career path best suited to them. I would be excited to find inspiring guests for a wide range of career pathways, as well as bringing back some of the guests who have helped me become so enthusiastic about a career in psychology. Experience in a workplace had built my confidence in sending emails and liaising with staff. I am reliable and organised, and would be an active member of the psycsoc committee, working with other members to create engaging posts and most of all promoting careers!
