The role of the charity secretary is to lead charity fundraising within PsycSoc. This role involves:

• Choosing one or more charities that the society will fundraise for 
• Planning and organising events to raise money, in which the proceeds are donated.
• Ensuring the smooth running of these events, including liaising with other committee members such as the social media secretary to advertise charity events in good time

For the past two years, the Charity Secretary has organised a Winter Charity Do at Revolution, raising money for a selected charity. Running this event includes finding a venue, approaching companies for donations, organising catering and dietary requirement details etc.

This role has less responsibility than other roles, so expect to get involved in other aspects of the society, including attending socials to help with their running.
