The President is responsible for the overall running of the society.
Although all committee members work together to look after the society, the President mainly focuses on:
- Organising and overseeing the running of the society.
- Delegating tasks to committee members and making sure everyone’s workload is fair and manageable.
- Chairing Committee Meetings, AGMs, and EGMs.
- Ensuring an annual report is produced.
- Keeping the society’s LUU webpage up to date.
- Making sure important policies (e.g. Code of Conduct, risk assessments) are communicated to members.
- Ensuring LUU safeguarding policies are upheld or clearly delegating this responsibility.
