Hi! I’m Angela, I’m a first year Fine Art and History of Art student in Leeds. I’d absolutely love to be your social media secretary- as someone who is very involved in the arts scene especially within Leeds and goes to many Art soc events, I’m super keen to keep everyone updated on what the society is up to- and to help shine a light onto the beautiful art scene in Leeds! I’d aim to keep regular updates on social media as to what is going on in the society and around it, and also work to engage the followers with the account and posts on it!

Hi, I’m Emma! I’ve been part of the art committee for two years now, and I’d love to continue supporting the society next year as social media secretary.

I was events secretary in second year, president this year, and have loads of ideas for the artsoc social media from those experiences. I’ve done several posts already and just really enjoy making them! I also ran the astronomy society social media this year, and brought in Kevin the astronaut doodle as a little mascot for that society (there will be stickers someday)

I’m going into my engineering masters, and find making posts a lovely excuse to wind down and play with graphic design and typography and doodling and do something totally different, although there is possibly too much time spent browsing free fonts on the internet! I also plan to promote student artists (with artist spotlights - I know, I know, they’ve been promised for ages) and make videos in events, and generally try to keep a chaotically arty theme going in our online presence.

I will also do my best to keep a posting schedule, making sure everyone knows what’s going on with events.

It feels like social media secretary is a useful way to support the new committee while stepping back from running it, and I’m pretty excited about it!
