Hiya!! I’ve regularly attended the life drawing sessions for three years now, and would love to step up and be a part of running the sessions. I’m very familiar with how the sessions run, and will help in ensuring a fun and comfortable experience for the models and artists. :)

Attending the life drawing sessions at the start of this year was something new to me and beautiful- I would love to assist with them next year and help make sure the sessions run smoothly.

I would really love to help lead life drawing sessions and be a part of the Art Soc committee! I am currently on exchange and have missed the calm weekly life drawing sessions bring. I had this role in 2nd year and so feel confident in knowing how sessions run. Overall, I just really want to help run sessions that build the warm and chilled environment I think is so special to life drawing sessions!

Hi! I’m Kiera, and I would like to run for the position of the Assistant General secretary for artsoc. I am a first year LLB student and I have loved artsoc so far for bringing out my creative side with a demanding degree. It has provided me with a good space to relax and take a break from studying, and I am now at the point where I can give something back to the society. I have been to a few of the artsoc events throughout the year, such as the leather bracelet making collaboration with rocksoc and the vinyl painting. These both were incredibly well run, and the only thing I had to worry about during these sessions was creating art. I would love to be included in keeping this amazing society running as well as it has been for the upcoming year.

Previously, I have organised a food bank drive with a group of my friends. This not only taught me the teamwork skills necessary for working with next years committee, but also helped me gain organisational skills required for this role. I also used to be an active member of my previous school’s student council, which required good communication and organisation. These skills can help me to become a valuable member of the artsoc committee, and try to help the society in any way I can. I will strive to keep the models comfortable during the life drawing, and work with the team to ensure the artsoc group don’t have to worry about anything while participating.

I am a traditional artist, and I have a personal preference towards realism, and for this reason I think I would be well suited towards helping to run the life drawings. I would like to continue to make artsoc a place that is welcome to everyone no matter what their ability level, as I truly believe art is for everyone.

Hiya I’m Molly,
I would love the opportunity to run the life drawing session again next year. In my second year I had so much fun getting to know the society, its members, and making sure everyone was happy and comfortable during the sessions. I especially enjoyed curating an extensive life drawing playlist that I’d love to crack out again.
It would be a pleasure to return to the art society committee in my final year at Leeds, and keep the life drawing sessions a relaxing fun moment in the week of some well needed creativity.
