Hi! I am Haneesha Kalwani, a second year student at UoL studying Business Management and the Human Resource. Spending most of my childhood in Cameroon, Rajasthan, and Abu Dhabi has taught me how to embrace my culture in the best way possible. Having to shift several times has made me realise how awful homesickness can feel. ISA is one place at University where I feel closest to home, and as Chairperson of ISA, I want to make sure everyone feels the same exact way.
Why I think I’m best-suited for this role?
I strongly believe that all the skills acquired by me throughout high school and my first two years in Leeds would be extremely valuable to the position I’m applying for.

Some of the relevant experience I hold are as follows:
• School house captain for two consecutive years
• School sports captain
• Promotions Representative for ISA 2021-2022
• Summer residence assistant at Ellerslie Global student accommodation

As House captain, my responsibility was to organise House meetings and communicate clearly and effectively with all members of the House team and to help organise and support House activities including, Inter-House Competitions such as House Sports and House Music.

Being part of ISA in my second year has given me so much exposure to how events are organised and I also picked up strong communication and negotiation skills which I believe makes me the ideal candidate for this role. I also believe I can work well with the remaining members of the committee and put forward the best events, catering the needs of all our society members in the best way possible.

Hey Guys, my name is Sai Rajanikanth and I am a fourth year Mechatronics and Robotics student currently on placement and am coming back to university for my final year of my degree. I was chosen as a freshers rep (2018-19) in my first year by the committee and was voted in as the Vice President (2020-21) in my Second year at university, I have the experience which is much needed for this position in the committee, as this position not only serves the society but also oversees the president themselves. I have been involved in some of the biggest events run by ISA in the past being Holi 2019 which was organised completely by ISA and not involving any external organisers. I believe that I am the most suitable for this position as I have the knowledge and the experience needed. If you would like to have a flawless and enjoyable year ahead do vote for me.
