Things I promise to do as social sec:

- Stay committed to luuwafc - only missed 1 social!
- Get all freshers to Terrace on a Thursday because I’m a rallier
- Look after everyone on nights out and make sure everyone’s safe
- Have great pres at a lovely party house with fab themes

From the time we’ve all spent together at luuwafc I think you’d all agree social secretary is the only fitting position for me. I’ve had a great time in the society so far and would love to become a part of running it. Since I started going to socials I have attended almost every one and consistently make it till the end of mischief week in and week out, so I definitely won’t be missing any if I’m social sec. I think this role would allow me to step outside of my comfort zone and grow as a more confident individual. Arranging socials that create a safe environment for freshers and make them feel welcomed will be a top priority, as well as encouraging as many people as possible to attend. Wednesday nights have been one of my favourite parts of being at university and id love to continue making fun interactive socials.

Some reasons to vote for me for social sec:
1. One of luuwafc’s most responsible freshers. Meaning I will always be on hand to look out for the rest of you.
2. Every social I help organise I will make sure it is designed to the best of my ability.
3. I am always up for a night out.
4. You will always catch me at terrace on a thursday and I will drag you all with me if I have to.
5. As someone nightclub bartending abilities I know how to make the perfect drink

Dear girls, gays, straights, straights who kiss women and anyone who doesn't fit into any of those categories.

I'm Imani Fletcher. Most of you may know me from a certain page that shall not be named as I'm exposed on a weekly basis for fraternising with the fours. But what I really hope you'll soon know me for is, social secretary.

This probably wont come as much of a shock to anyone considering I've been shouting that I want to be social sec since joining LUUWAFC.

However, you're probably wondering, "what does Imani have to offer? She's a fresher on the fours who doesn't and can't even play?". Well let me tell you.

As social sec I plan to:
- hold more GIAG sessions to encourage further participation from those not yet in societies & also further prove LUUWAFC to be an ever growing society.
- ensure all teams have a coach. This would mean that the team captains would not be stretched thin to cover the teams without them.
- work to have the developmental sessions more frequently, which of course will only come with having a coach.
- help allocate finances to away games especially those where staying overnight is necessary
- work with the communications secretary to get bigger turnouts at games as well as advertising the society (I'm a journalism student - I'm rather well versed in the media sector.)

Right I know that has been a great bore, I've literally written this in about 20 minutes.

I can tell you all I want about what I plan to do, but most of you have only seen me off with someone new each Wednesday. So let me offer you some actual proof that I'll make a banging social sec.
- I'm a proper planner, like no joke. I love planning parties, trips, my week. Anything. I'm a creative gal so I'll genuinely do my best to make the socials amazing.
- I will not let up on the funnelling, many people manage to avoid it at pres (rich coming from me) and it cannot go on anymore.
- I'm a very out there person which for some, may be too much. However, because of this I talk to everyone meaning I've got ties to mates at woman's rugby as well as lacrosse so we'll see a few more mixed social nights (I know the 4s will be happy about the rugby girls).
- Also, already as a non-committee member, I have helped out at GIAG sessions giving demonstrations of how to do activities (granted JD kind of forced me haha). So with the role of social sec, imagine now much more I could do.

Anyway I'm officially done trying to impress you all! At the end of the day I reckon I'm good fun and I'll always be there for all of you. Plus I'm a giant so you'll always spot in a club if you need me. And on top of that, we need more 4s representation purr.
