Our annual election for committee 2025-26! You will be serving committee for the next academic year and handover will commence from just before the summer holidays if elected.

6 Postitions available are as follows:

President - Oversees running of the society. This includes managing the work of the rest of committee and communicating with the union and other societies.

●      organising and overseeing the running of the Society

●      chairing Committee Meetings, AGMs and EGMs

●      ensuring the production of an annual report

●      ensuring there is an up to date entry in the Club/Society’s LUU webpage

• Code of conduct, risk assessments, etc communicated to all members
• Ensure that LUU Safeguarding Policy is upheld and/or clearly delegate this responsibility. 

Secretary - Manages the admin of the society such as emails, room booking, filling in official forms and taking meeting minutes.

●      maintaining membership records containing at least the name and membership category of all the Society’s members

●      producing agenda documents for all meetings

●      maintaining a written record of all meetings

●      maintaining an up-to-date copy of the Society constitution

●      ensuring only Full and Ex-Officio Members are given an opportunity to vote in society elections

Treasurer - Manages the finances of the society. This includes keeping record of finances, approving expenses and applying for grants if necessary.

●      managing the finances of the Society

●      maintaining up-to-date accounts with the LUU Cash Office only

●      submitting subsidy applications to Activities Executive

●      produce a termly report and yearly budget

●      submitting a detailed statement of accounts for the year to the Club/Society’s Annual General Meeting.

Events Co-Ordinator - Provides ideas for society events and runs events for the society. This involves idea generation for fun events or getting people involved in the society.

• Help organise and run the society’s events
• Provide ideas for new events for the society
• Plan events put forward by the committee

Wellbeing Officer

• Be first point of contact for any issues or complaints from society members 6 
•  Be aware of any at risk or struggling society members and pass information on to union staff or other official bodies 
•  Create an inclusive and accepting atmosphere for all society members

Social Media Officer

• Maintain instagram page and discord server of the society
• Create posters for weekly events and for special events
• Respond to messages on social media accounts
