Hi, I’m Shaumy, a second-year medical student. Volunteering with this club last year was a truly rewarding experience—it gave me the chance to engage with a variety of primary schools and community groups, and offered meaningful moments where I could help raise awareness about health in fun and interactive ways.
I am now running for the role of vice president. I believe I’m a great fit for the Teddy Bear Hospital committee role because I’m passionate about creating positive, organised, and engaging experiences for both volunteers and children. I’m eager to work closely with the president to ensure everything runs smoothly throughout the year—whether that’s planning events, coordinating volunteers, or handling any behind-the-scenes logistics. As a current volunteer myself, I’m aware of what makes the experience enjoyable and fulfilling, and I’m ready to bring even more exciting and fresh ideas to the table. I’m reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting the society’s goals and making a meaningful impact in our community.
