Hi, I'm Simi! I'm a second year Accounting and Finance student, and I recently joined Marrow and signed up to be on the stem cell register. Although I am new to the society I'm putting myself forward for this position because heading into my third year I'd love to get really stuck in and be as involved as I can be. What I lack in experience I think I more than make up for with enthusiasm! I'm really excited to learn more about Marrow and be an active part of this society.

I have spent a lot of time volunteering in a range of different places, and it’s something I love to do. I volunteered at Park Run for 3 years and I can confidently carry the communication and organisation skills I picked up there through my role as volunteer coordinator into the position of secretary. I think I’d be great for this position and I’m excited to carry on the great work that the previous committee have done making Leeds Marrow so fantastic!

I can’t wait to spend more time volunteering with Marrow and getting more involved to be a small part of the massive positive impact that it has. Anthony Nolan does so much great work not only signing people up to the stem cell register, but conducting research and raising awareness about blood cancer and I’d love the opportunity to contribute and make a difference through Marrow, so please vote Simi for Secretary!
