Hiya, I’m Emma and I would love to be a donor recruitment officer for Marrow!
I have absolutely loved volunteering with Marrow this year and would love to involve myself in committee for the upcoming year. Since joining at the beginning of this year, I have grown more and more passionate about the cause, but also more confident in my abilities in donor recruitment. I would love the opportunity to organise donor recruitment events, knowing that our efforts have the potential to save lives.
Attending the Marrow North Regional Conference this year was really inspiring, and I have left with several ideas for donor recruitment events! I’m more motivated to get as many people signed on to the register as possible. I would love to grow our society and get as many people involved in these events as possible. Creating partnerships with other societies is important to me and I would like to do more collaboration events to spread the word of Anthony Nolan.
Through attending many donor recruitment events this year, I have experience in how these events run smoothly, including set up and close and sending the swab kits back to Anthony Nolan and would like to take on a more involved role next year.
