Working with Sign Language Society has become my dream since I was in International Baccalaureate (IB) study. Why?

Sign Language regardless of demographics supposedly to:
1. Promote inclusivity among hearing-disabled community with a warm welcome
2. Learn a new form of communication that is distinctively unique
3. Show support and respect to hearing-disabled community that they are not alone when dealing with everyday life
4. Raise awareness among people that hearing-disabled community is also a human that deserve to be treated as human

These are three objectives that I want to pursue if I am be able to get this position. Thanks in the warmth of my heart.

Hiya, this is me and a cat called Tivi (v. v. adorable). I am deaf and wear two cochlear implants to help me hear you lovely guys! I have lots of connections within the deaf community from UKDeafsport, a deaf podcaster in Leeds to the first deaf restaurant opened globally, 1000 et 1 signes. I would like to use my connections and enthusiasm to organise events, parties, cafes and all things jazzy for you guys. Why? So we can have laugh, learn and share fun moments together!

Hi! This is Thomas, you've probably seen me around in BSL society, and I'm really passionate about BSL and sign language in general! I've been a part of this society since it was established- been attending since the very first Give it a Go.

As Events Officer, I will try my best to organize as many events for this society as possible- and every single one will be suited for both the hearing and non-hearing. Example events include Movie Viewings, and Disco Nights. And I'm always open to suggestions if you have any ideas for events too!
