Hi everyone,

I’m Aadhiran, running for Vice President of Hindu Society Leeds 26/27.

I’ve been part of Hindusoc for the past three years, and next year will be my fourth and over that time, I’ve represented NHSF Leeds in over 9 tournaments. I’m currently the Sports Rep this year, where we have been able to represent NHSF Leeds in  4 multi-sport tournaments and weekly football league matches, alongside hosting events and building strong connections within the society.

What I’ve learned is that success comes down to how well the committee works together, when everyone’s aligned, supports each other, and can openly brainstorm ideas together, everything else falls into place.

As VP, I’d focus on :

- Keeping the committee organised and running efficiently
- Ensuring everyone stays aligned in their roles
- A supportive environment so everyone can deliver
- Strong teamwork across all divisions

I’d also like to stay involved with the Sports Division, supporting incoming reps and building on what we’ve developed while pushing standards higher.

I want Hindusoc to remain a welcoming space not only for Hindus, but for people from all religious backgrounds, whether they’re heavily involved or just getting started.

After 3 consecutive years, I care about where Hindusoc is going and want to help push it forward for an even stronger year.

My name is Diksha. From the moment I joined NHSF Leeds, I found a community that resonated deeply with my values one built on shared faith, culture, and a collective sense of purpose. I am standing for Vice President because I believe this community deserves leadership that is dependable, structured, and genuinely committed to its people. The Vice President exists to strengthen the president and the wider committee at every level. My background in Business and Economics has equipped me with the analytical thinking and collaborative mindset necessary to support executive decision-making effectively, ensuring that our leadership operates as a cohesive, high-functioning unit. Where direction is needed, I will provide it. Where support is required, I will be there without hesitation. Overseeing committee operations and event preparation demands both organisational rigour and people awareness. I will ensure that every committee member understands their responsibilities, that deadlines are clearly communicated and consistently met, and that our events reflect the standard this society deserves. Accountability and follow-through will be central to how I operate. Beyond logistics, I recognise that committee members are students first. The pressures of university life are real, and I am committed to fostering an environment where anyone can approach me with confidence, knowing they will be met with discretion, empathy, and practical support. NHSF Leeds has the foundations of something exceptional. I would be proud to serve as your Vice President.
