Hello! My name is Nitha and I am a 1st year studying Medicine.

Just a little bit about me, I am netball player with years of experience, playing at home from a young age and carrying on through into uni. And it doesn't just stop at netball. I enjoy playing badminton, running and Kho Kho when I am not playing netball.

Over the past year I take pride in my involvement in not just Hindu Soc Sports but my regular commitment in weekly events. When it comes down to Hindu Soc sports, I took the role of Netball captain leading the team to 3rd place at Nationals. I also took part in the Kho Kho team and attended regular training sessions. Through experience in netball captaincy from previous years I have developed strong communication and organisational skills which are fitting for the role. I would be able to communicate well amongst the sports teams and support organising tournaments and training sessions.

As female sport representative, I look to boost involvement amongst girls in sports by encouraging them to give it a go. I had never even heard of Kho Kho until this year and now I absolutely love playing at the tournaments and playing with the team. I have developed a sense of community with my sports teams especially leaving my home sports team it has been fulfilling to find my new team.

I’m currently in my final year pursuing a degree in Law, balancing my academics with a strong passion for sport. I’m a dedicated multi-sport athlete with experience in football, American football, tennis, volleyball, kho kho, cricket and more.

Beyond playing, I also professionally coach three of these sports, which has strengthened my leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Through coaching, I’ve learned how to motivate others, build confidence, and create a positive and inclusive sporting environment.
Sport has always been a huge part of who I am, and I love bringing people together through it, whether that’s through competition, training, or just having fun.

With my background in multiple sports and coaching, I understand how to cater to different skill levels and make sport accessible to everyone. I want to:
- Increase engagement in women’s sport
- Create regular, inclusive sessions across a variety of sports
- Introduce exciting events like tournaments and pep rallies
- Build a supportive and empowering environment for all members

Most importantly, I’m genuinely passionate about creating a fun, inclusive, and active community where everyone feels encouraged to get involved.
