The Event Secretary – also known as the Workshop Secretary - is in charge of running and leading the Creative Workshops every Thursday. We are looking for people able to plan, source, and fetch materials in advance of the events. We are bringing 1 extra person into this role currently held by three people, so you will be a team of 4. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can work creatively in a team to plan and lead each activity. The workshop theme and materials change weekly. The rest of the committee love brain storming events & looking at material options so you’ll have plenty of enthusiastic sounding boards and abundant ideas, but your role will be to put them into action with your own flair. This requires a commitment of 2 hours per week to prepare and run the workshops. We also expect someone who is highly organised so that tickets are uploaded at a consistent time each week. Excellent communication skills are key for an event secretary, especially when arranging collaborations with other societies so that both parties are satisfied. Overall, we welcome an organised, confident, fun and creative person who can join our team of enthusiastic artists!

Jobs:

- Plan the weekly creative workshops - this includes researching the workshops theme and the resources needed

- Run the weekly Thursday workshops with the other event secretaries - likely one workshop each every 3 weeks.

- Upload workshop tickets on Engage every Wednesday at 4pm

- Source and fetch materials - consult with the treasurer on materials in the group chat, creative input with team

- Be enthusiastic and have fun!
