Our Higher Education Volleyball Officer (HEVO) plans and runs the beginner and intermediate sessions of the week.

HEVOs, sometime in september, go to Kettering and participate in a 2 day conference were they learn how to encourage the playing of volleyball and help build the community. HEVOs should have their basic volleyball skills down however it is important to understand that HEVOs are not coaches. The person who runs beginner intermediate sessions are not focus too much on individual players techniques etc. but rather facilitate game play and create a fun and welcoming environment so people that are new to the sport feel more comfortable joining in.

HEVOs need to be warm and open and expected to interact with a lot of people. They need to be well organized and creative to provide a new and different session each week for the beginners and intermediate players.

There are two places under the HEVO title and these two people need to be able to work together each week to provide high quality sessions.
