Being social sec is arguably the most fun role in committee. Being social sec entails organising weekly socials, contacting bars and club venues in order to get the society deals and discounts and organising the best events of the year (including, but not limited to, Tour in April, Volleyball Ball, Christmas meal etc.). Being social sec is a lot more than just getting loose, you need to be on top of your weekly planning, maintain positive working relationships with venue owners and take responsibility for people having fun and safe time at socials. To sum up, if your an organised and approachable person you can slay at being social sec and keep volleyball loose.

There will be two social sec positions available, and although it is not mandatory it helps if the two social secretary's have a good relationship and are able to work together to provide the societies members with fun outside of the volleyball court.
