Hello everyone! I'm Saudah, a 2nd year Geology student.

I am running for the Events Secretary role because I am motivated to shape events that help bridge knowledge, interests and community. I believe I fit the role because I have a clear understanding of what appeals to students, allowing me to strengthen engagement amongst current members while introducing new ones.

I aim to contribute to the role by planning and conducting engaging, well-organised events that aligns with students interests by integrating a mix of social, academic and collabrative events. I would like to ensure engagement amongst students by gathering feedback to understand what members want and improvements that needs to be made.

Hii everyone, I'm Keneisha, a first-year medical engineering student. I'm interested in organising engaging and memorable events. I love every event I get to gather with people whether it being a night out or a simple movie night. I believe I am a great fit for this role because I'm organised, proactive, and enjoy bringing people together. My past experiences in a couple of volunteering activities has helped me in managing sign-ups and ensuring events run smoothly. I’m also approachable and attentive, which helps create a welcoming atmosphere for all attendees.

In this role, I would contribute by planning well-structured, creative events that appeal to a wide range of members and of course be open to any recommendations. I’d ensure clear communication before and during events, stay on top of LUU guidelines, and work closely with the rest of the committee to align events with the society’s goals. I’m excited to introduce ideas that make events more inclusive and engaging, encouraging both new and existing members to get involved.

Hi! I’m Vriti, and I’m applying for the role of Events Officer because I want to help create events that people actually enjoy and benefit from.
I understand that events are more than just filling the calendar,they shape people’s experience in the society. Whether it’s workshops, socials, or career-focused sessions, the goal should be to make them engaging, well-organised, and genuinely valuable.
I have experience organising and contributing to events, and I’m comfortable managing the planning that goes on behind the scenes from coordinating with speakers and venues to making sure everything runs smoothly on the day.
I would focus on creating a mix of events that are both enjoyable and useful whether that’s skill-building sessions, networking opportunities, or more casual events that help people feel part of the community.
I’m organised, reliable, and proactive, and I’m willing to put in the effort to make sure events are well planned and actually worth attending.
