Hi, I’m Mille and I would absolutely love the opportunity to be next year’s Vice President!!
I am currently in my second year of a Law degree and hope to go onto become a solicitor in the future. I have been dancing since I was two years old, and it has been a big part of my life ever since then!! Throughout my eighteen years of dancing, I have been involved in countless shows, competitions, and have even taught younger classes. I have treasured being part of Freestyle at University, especially competing for the Contemporary team, and I am beyond grateful to have such a brilliant and inclusive society!!
As Vice President it is imperative that I am organised, can work well in a team and adapt quickly to help with other roles. I have learnt all these skills through my years of dance training, especially through teaching younger classes, and through a variety of volunteering roles. As Vice President I am so excited to bring new and inspiring events to Freestyle, bringing back all our favourite choreographers, and some new ones, and even new styles!!! I would also love to introduce some new competition teams to Freestyle, bursary-permitting, as I saw how eager we were to get involved in more categories at competition this year!! I feel well suited to this role as my degree has taught me how to do administration efficiently and thoroughly, so I can keep Freestyle running smoothly. I also have experience as part of a Young Enterprise team where we had to found and run a business from scratch which has allowed me to develop the exact skills I require for this role.
This year I have seen how much the committee members have loved their roles, and what an amazing job they have done, and it makes me so excited to make Freestyle a priority next year and ensure everyone gets the best Freestyle experience!!!

Being part of freestyle society has been an amazing society to be a part of only increasing my passion for dance and performing. Seeing how hard committee work to ensure everything runs smoothly has motivated me to apply as I want to help give that same experience to other members of the society which will be so rewarding.
I would enjoy organizing events such as class timetables to contracts. The role will allow me to be fully immersed into different aspects of the society taking on key responsibilities such as showcase planning.
I believe I am suited for this role as I am very organized and able to manage my time effectively to fulfil the roles of the society effectively. I have good team working abilities which is integral to liaise with not only the president but other members, choreographers and societies.
Commitment is a vital skill I have been able to build upon this through my Tae Kwon Do club which I have been a part of for 12 years showing my dedication and allowed me to work collaboratively with others for a common goal and understand the sense of leadership and responsibility within a team.
Some new ideas I would be open to discussing with other committee members is perhaps doing some open classes in other styles of dance every now and then perhaps song joint classes with other dance societies- cross over so more people can be introduced into the society and perhaps taking part in some of the showcases within the university as well as some more fundraising ideas throughout the year.
