Hi girls!! For those who don’t know me already, I’m Olivia and I would love to be next year’s president!! I joined freestyle this year as a second year, and I have made some of the most amazing friends and memories through the society!! After previously giving up dance due to covid, I have absolutely loved getting back into it and rekindling my love for dance through freestyle! Seeing how the committee have created such a fun and welcoming family environment this year, has inspired me to run for committee as I would love to be part of it and give next year’s freshers an equally as good experience that I have had!!
I am a confident and friendly person and think I have great leadership skills which are vital for this role. Although I am going into my third year, I also have good time management skills and will be able to prioritise the society aswell as my degree to ensure things will be run equally as smooth this year. I have danced for most of my life, competing in competitions, and this year I have immersed myself fully in the society- attending most classes, partaking in intercomp, and the jazz and contemporary competition teams. This has given me some knowledge already as to how the society is run and I would love to bring some new ideas to freestyle.
Above all, I am really passionate about this society and would love to be involved in the freestyle committee this year, as your president:)
