Hello Psyched members, my name is Kertu. As an upcoming third-year medical student deeply interested in psychiatry, I'm putting myself forward for Mentorship Scheme Coordinator.

I believe mentorship is incredibly valuable, particularly in medicine. My own experiences shadowing psychiatrists reinforced how crucial guidance can be. Because of this, I feel a strong sense of purpose in helping facilitate these supportive connections for fellow students through Psyched.

To do this role well, I bring strong organisational skills for managing matching and feedback, and importantly, I have experience in respectfully and effectively contacting professionals – essential for recruiting mentors. My commitment extends to ensuring the scheme operates ethically and smoothly, always prioritising the wellbeing of participants. I aim to be an approachable and reliable point of contact, dedicated to fostering a positive experience for everyone involved.
