Charity sec is arguably one of the most rewarding roles within the committee, being the forefront of the Gryphons fund/awareness raising efforts. This role requires somebody who is able to communicate well with the rest of the team and can innovate in order to try and come up with new and exciting ways of achieving our charitable goals. 

Whether it be through the long term partnership with the Will Garvey Foundation, the Movember push or through Breast Cancer awareness month, charity sec requires organisation in order to put plans in place ahead of key events and be able to communicate these ideas with the rest of the committee. 

I would recommend this role to anyone who would like to be a part of the committee going forward, but perhaps would not like the larger responsibility of one of the key three roles. I would also add that this role is what you make it. The funds do not raise themselves for the great causes we have supported so you have to be proactive in organising things in order to achieve these goals. It is also a great thing to talk about on your CV in interviews and displays key transferable skills that many employers look out for.
