The Treasurer of Leeds Gryphons American Football manages the club’s finances, ensures financial stability, and oversees budgets, payments, and funding applications. This role is crucial for maintaining the club’s financial health and supporting its long-term growth. You are also a member of the top 3 and play a key role within general decision-making and coordination of the club.

The main part of the role is towards the start of the year. You will liaise with the rest of the top 3 to create the budget and secure the gryphon funding for the year. It is imperative that this is managed effectively to get funds for the club; the club cannot run unless this is filled out properly. 

Throughout the year you will have regular tasks such as collecting match fees, filing expenses and placing orders. A key part of this is throughout the year making sure the club has enough reserves to cover unexpected trips or expenses. This club has had great success securing funding over the past few years to buy more kit and this should be prioritised to ensure future success of the club.

The ideal candidate will be proactive and financially literate, this does not mean you have to have done a degree related to this. But you MUST be actively planning and ensuring that decisions made by the club are financially viable.
