For anyone who wants to be gameday sec, here are the key roles and responsibilities.

• Home game: booking the pitch and medic for all home games by email or calling, also responding to referees with info for the game. Organising the chain crew and a ball boy each home game.

• Away games: booking a medic and transport to the away venue (union kind of does transport for you just fill in a Google form). Sorting out a ball boy for away games too. 

• Every game: sorting and printing out the team roster to give to Bo.

Although this role may sound a bit daunting, a lot of it you can sort at the start of the season as soon as we have our fixtures which makes life a lot easier. The most important skills for this role include communication and organisation but you can easily get more confident in these as the year goes on.

I'll be here next year so if you ever need help with sorting specifics out, me or other people in committee can try to assist. This role is a great way to be involved with and contribute to the team especially if you don't want to try out for a top 3 position on committee yet so definitely one to consider.
