My name is Zoe Chang, I am originally from Uganda and have been playing volleyball for almost four years now. This position initially struck my interest because it made me realize how much is done behind the scenes by the committee to ensure that our society runs as smoothly as possible. A secretary needs to have good organization and communication skills, both of which I pride myself in as I have been balancing university volleyball, club volleyball, moving to a new country and a STEM course all at once in my first year of university. I am not afraid of a challenge and I give kudos to Zoe for all she did this year, she really set the standards for me and I intend to not only meet them but also exceed them. I respect that my aims may change and shift the more I identify issues within the society but as of now, I would like to work towards maintaining effective communication between the society and the university, schedule and facilitate committee meetings frequently and productively and act as a point of contact for all members of the society.

Hey guyss, My name is Annalisa and I'll be running for secretary this September! I am in my first year at Leeds studying film, photography and media and currently play with the dev team. I came to uni wanting to try something new, and that new thing just so happened to be volleyball. I couldn't be more happy to have made that decision as I have met some of the loveliest and most passionate people I know through this society. For this reason I would like to give back to you guys next year by taking care of the admin so that we can focus on the fun stuff. I believe that my commitment to the society has been demonstrated through my high attendance at socials, training and casuals, and through my new found passion for this wonderful sport. I believe that I am organised and good at communicating (particularly through emails) and aim to help everyone out with frequent email reminders and communication of that sort, with the president as well as the treasurer. I also aim to ensure everyone is listened to and feels as though they are heard within this circle, and this is something I care a lot about. My volleyball skills may be a bit questionable but my organisational skills and time management skills sure aren't!

Being M1 and men's development manager has taught me so much about having lots of responsibility. I made sure to complete all the admin tasks that were required to get M1 to DIV 1 CHAMPS and men's devs to constantly improve and have fun in volleyball! I have developed a love and passion for the sport, its committee and the amazing people who make this society what it is.

I would love to be Secretary because
- I am great at writing and checking emails
- I am always on my phone and a very fast replier, so a very good communicator
- I am super reliable and will always put this society first!
- Campaign for more opportunities for beginters and devs weather that be more court time, tournaments or friendlies
- I will make sure to do everything in my power as Secretary so that every team can shine and smash BUCS next year!
- I have experience as an administrative assistant and being on committee and working with execs
- Communicated with committee last year to make sure M1 and devs always knew of their responsibilities, schedules and could focus on winning and improving
- Every M1 BUCS and Local League game had qualified refs, scoresheeters, scoreboarders and line refs.
